Big 12 Champiosnhip Game

Colt McCoy and the Texas Longhorns take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers tonight in the Big 12 Championship game.  Texas comes in ranked #3 in the nation only behind Florida and Alabama who are also squaring off this weekend. So, if they knock off #22 Nebraska, they get to play in the BCS Championship game against the winner of that contest.

The keys to Texas winning this game are simple.  They must find ways to move the ball and secure first downs. The short game will be very important in this one. This is because Nebraska has one of the best defenses in college football. They start three All American caliber players on D, lead by number one draft prospect Ndamukong Suh.  This guy is a ton and keep an eye on him during this game.

Colt McCoy, Texas' stud QB, scored five touchdowns last week against in-state rival Texas A&M.  But we don't expect him to have those kind of numbers against the Huskers. The fact is that this game will be closer than the experts predict and Texas will be played close by this upstart Nebraska team.  We are taking Nebraska +14 and over 46.5.
