Further Information: Bookmaker.eu is the US facing offshoot of website and sportsbook BetCRIS. This company also hosts, markets, and distributes the Diamond Sportsbook Brand but according to employees does not own them. All are located in the same place of operation in Costa Rica and use the same software and interface technology. Although these are all essentially the same company, grades can vary based on the amount of positive vs. negative feedback we receive for each brand. Also, grades are based on how much effort the company may put into one brand vs. another. These grades will never differ greatly because they may possibly share the same ownership but not necessarily the same managers.

April 1, 2012 BetDSI and Bookmaker (Both Rated C-) Sales Call Complaints. Several complaints this week from people who have asked to be taken off any call list but are still receiving sales calls from CRIS Group (CRIS,BookMaker,Diamond). This group was at one time tops in the industry but started using devious tactics and taking a non-responsive customer service approach a few years ago.

November 4, 2011 Bookmaker (Rating C) Live Betting Complaints. This week we received two complaints about live betting software at Bookmaker freezing. The players both claim they had been awarded the win only logging in later to discover the bets voided. Bookmaker does not return our emails.

August 14, 2011 Bookmaker/CRIS Blacklisted on Another Website for Failure to Pay Commissions. Back room shady dealing is one thing we try to look out for when rating a sportsbook because if they rip off anyone at any level, you have to ask yourself How long before they start ripping off the betting clientele. June 6, 2011 Bookmaker/CRIS/DSI No Longer Offering Free Payouts on Mondays. As per management's decision, there are no more free payouts. Minimum payout fee is now $30.

May 23, 2011 Bookmaker (SA Rating C) Alternate Domain Announced. Bookmaker issues press release with alternate domain name while they fight to get original domain name back from seizure. Read Press Release

April 20, 2011 Bookmaker/CRIS Group (Rating C) Lengthen Official Payout Wait Time. BookMaker Group has lengthened the official wait time for a payout to 10-15 days. Previous official wait time was around a week.

March 5, 2011 Bookmaker.com (Rating C) Payout Complaint Received. We received an email from a player that has been waiting 2-3 weeks for a payout and has written in about it. Customer was told that this is because he requested the "free" payout option and if he had paid the extra $, he would have received his payout by now.

November 21, 2010 Bookmaker/CRIS Group Downgrade. We have been taking sporadic feedback from many different clients and associates of this group, most of which has been negative. Rude customer service, harassing telemarketing calls, and bad business dealings have led us to downgrade this outfit to keep people weary. September 28, 2010 Las Palmas Site Shut. In December 2009, Bookmaker (Rating B-) took ownership of struggling BetLasPalmas. It was unknown if they would continue to run the brand or absorb their players completely. We have that answer. All BetLasPalmas visitors get a splash page now redirecting them to log into Bookmaker. August 25, 2010 Bookmaker and Sister Sites Downgrade. Bookmaker and sister sites CRIS, Diamond, and BetLasPalmas will pay you if you win, so that is not the reason for this downgrade. This downgrade is for recent complaints about reliability of customer service. Also, upper management/ownership has made some marketing decisions that we find to be unscrupulous and we have simply decided to downgrade them all as a result to keep people alert.

December 27, 2009 BetCRIS/Bookmaker (Rating A) Group Acquires StrugglingLasPalmas. Bookmaker Company absorbs all players and debts and has already started paying off back owed players. Bookmaker Upgraded to A Rating. Long time industry leader back to "A" status after we receive a multitude of emails discussing fast payouts. Also, newer betting module/software is very impressive and works smoothly. "BetPoints" Reward program that rewards customer action is a hit with players.

July 10, 2009 BetCRIS, parent company of Bookmaker and long time pioneer in online gaming, upgraded to B+. The company has improved and recovered since a series of bad decisions back at the start of the year. BetCRIS does not accept U.S. players but it's sister site Bookmaker (Rating B+) does.

May 18, 2009 BetFirstClass now offering incoming/outgoing transfers with BetCRIS (SA Rating B+). The amounts are $500 minimum and $20K max. Book to book transfers give players options. $25 fee applies.

March 23, 2009 Bookmaker, Diamond, CRIS Upgraded to B+. All recent slow pays that we have been monitoring have been taken care of and the books seem back on track.

February 17, 2009 Bookmaker pays 'no-pay' complainant. Gives player full reimbursement and a bonus for his troubles.

February 16, 2009 Bookmaker.com, BetCRIS, Diamond Sportsbook Group Downgraded to B Rating. Player complains of two month + waiting period for payout as well as rude and clueless service reps. Another player writes in complaining about spam and harassing phone calls from Bookmaker.

December 26, 2008 - Bookmaker downgraded to A Rating from A+. Recent management decisions show a chink in the armor of this successful sportsbook. READ MORE

September 28, 2008 - Sportsbook Bookmaker and it's sister sites BetCRIS and Diamond offline all Sunday. Says customer service rep: "Yesterday for reasons beyond our control the site was down for way longer than we expected." Sportsbook Advisor confirms it was a "Denial of Service Attack". Sites are back online and status is normal.
