Super Bowl 50 AFC- NFC Combinations Available

June 3, 2015

The 2015-16 NFL regular season is still three months away but odds makers have again updated their futures for Super Bowl 50. One reason is sports fans and bettors are starving to see football and give their opinions on who will represent each conference in the Super Bowl in 2016.

A sportsbook in Vegas and some online have posted all the 256 possible combinations for participants in the Super Bowl, with the choice most favored being the Seattle Seahawks playing the Indianapolis Colts  at odds of 10 to 1.

The NFL has a lot of interest during the summer as the NBA winds down, the NHL wraps its season up and MLB enters its long hot days of summer.

It has not hurt that Deflategate has been in the news and reports that Adrian Peterson will report to OTAs with the Vikings. All this news, good or bad adds to bettors’ interest as they can use it to place a more educated bet on one of the futures boards.

Bettors interested in long shots can take 1,000 to 1 odds on Tampa Bay playing Tennessee in Super Bowl 50 on February 7. While this new prop is more of parlay by picking the two conference champions, if a bettor takes Seattle at 5 to 2 and the Colts currently at 3 to 1 to win their respective conferences, the parlay would pay 13 to 1.

A matchup of Seattle against New England in a rematch of this past season’s Super Bowl has 14 to 1 odds, which is much higher now thanks to Tom Brady being suspended for the first four games of the season.

If not for the Deflategate fiasco, New England would have been the co-favorite at least with Indianapolis for the AFC championship.

However, one should not forget about the Patriots since Brady is suspended during the regular season well before the playoffs and he happens to be the best playoff quarterback the NFL has ever seen.

Brady is also appealing the suspension and sources said it could be reduced to two, possibly one or even lifted completely.
