College Basketball Conference Tournament Odds

March 11, 2015

The college basketball conference tournaments start this week with some teams trying to impress the NCAA selection committee while others are looking to gain a higher seed in the national tournament. Teams such as Kentucky, Duke, Virginia, Arizona, Villanova and Wisconsin are battling for a No. 1 seed in one of the four regions in the NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation for another week. The Wildcats were No. 1 from start to finish in the regular season and are the prohibitive favorite to win the SEC tournament this week, according to the odds posted by a number of online sites and those in Vegas.

Arizona, Villanova and Wisconsin are all chalk to win their respective conference tournaments as Conference Championship week starts.

In the ACC, Virginia and Duke open as co-favorites to win the tournament with both sitting on 7 to 4 odds. One tournament that looks wide open is the Big 12, as Kansas the favorite is only 3 to 1, while four teams have 9 to 2 odds or lower. In all, 16 conference tournaments will be played this week ending on or before Sunday when the NCAA selection committee announces the field for the NCAA Tournament.
