Juice on the OVER in Game 6 of Stanley Cup Finals

June 15, 2015

Game 6 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals will be played in the United Center on Monday with the host Chicago Blackhawks holding a 3-2 series lead over the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blackhawks defeated the Lightning Saturday night 2-1 and need just one more win to lift their third Cup in the past six years.

The Blackhawks are a significant favorite to end the series in Game 6 at home. The current best line for Chicago is -165 and for Tampa Bay is +155. The goal total for the over/under is sitting on 5, with the OVER at -140.

Since 2009, Chicago is 12-1 when playing a Game 6 of any playoff series. Those results might be random, but Tampa still did not want to be skating tonight in the Windy City with their back against the proverbial wall.

Tampa Bay could be without a top offensive threat Monday. One of the triplets, Nikita Kucherov hurt his shoulder when he crashed into the net during Game 5 and did not play after that.

He is in Chicago but his status is unknown. In addition, Ben Bishop the Lightning’s starting goalie has had a mysterious ailment and did not play Game 4, but did play in Game 5.

The series has been very tight, which was expected before it started. The first five games were all decided by a single goal. That has not taken place in the Stanley Cup in 64 years. That means all the underdogs have cashed on the spread of 1.5 goals that has been in each of the games thus far.

Going UNDER has been a profitable wager as well. The UNDER has cashed in three of the five Cup games and all by the score of 2-1. Game 2 cashed OVER while bettors saw a push in Game 3.

The total was dropped to 5 with the OVER having juice, as opposed to the 5.5 and the UNDER with heavy juice, which it was at for the past two games.

Tampa Bay can still be had for +330 to win the Cup, while Chicago is available for -400. You can bet these wagers and others at one of our highly recommended sportsbooks
