William Hill Removes Itself from Chinese Market

Scott Morris | August 15, 2013

William_Hill-1Today, top European bookie William Hill (SBA Rated A-) announced it is removing itself from handling action from the country of China.  Here is what they said verbatim: “We will be suspending all accounts of all residents of China from midday Monday 19th August, 2013. After this date, bettors will not be able to use their accounts to access our online sportsbook or gaming rooms.”

Changing regulations make it harder for an international company like Will Hill to operate are usually the reasons for this type of move. Will Hill has it’s hand full trying to enter the U.S. regulated market in key states where gambling is legal ie New Jersey and Nevada.
