2015 College Football Week 2 and 3 Futures

June 19, 2015

With the NBA having ended this week and Major League Baseball continuing, bettors’ eyes are starting to focus on the NFL and NCAA football. This week some offshore sportsbooks released more Games of the Year for college football bettors to make futures bets for games in week 2 and 3.

Week 2 features a pair of showdowns in the SEC with South Carolina a favorite at home by 6.5 points over Kentucky, which was able to rally late in Lexington to defeat the Gamecocks last season.

LSU is road chalk by 2.5 points at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs last year traveled to Baton Rouge and defeated the Tigers by 5 points in a game, which was nowhere near as close as one would think seeing a final score of 34-29.

Another battle in Week 2 will feature Michigan State as a 3-point favorite at home over Oregon.

Last season Oregon defeated the Spartans at Oregon by rallying from 9 points down during the third quarter.

During Week 3, Thursday has a big matchup, as Louisville will play host to Clemson as a 3-point home dog in a big ACC showdown.

That same week on Friday, the ACC will feature Florida State traveling north to Boston College. The Seminoles are 14-point road chalk in this game.

The SEC heat ups during Week 3 with four big games including LSU at home versus Auburn, with LSU as a 3-point favorite.

Georgia will host South Carolina that week as a 15-point home favorite. Florida is just a 1-point favorite when it travels to Kentucky despite having a winning streak of 28 games versus the Wildcats.

Alabama is 11-point chalk at home that weekend versus Ole Miss, which rallied last season to beat the Tide 23-17 in October.

Other Games during Week 3 include:

(-3) Iowa vs. Pittsburgh

(-1) Miami vs. Nebraska

(-3.5) Washington vs. Utah State

(-9.5) Texas vs. California

(-14) UCLA vs. BYU

(-3.5) USC vs. Stanford

Georgia Tech pick ’em vs. Notre Dame
