Betting Trends for Trail Blazers vs Clippers Game 2

April 20, 2016

Many times the East Coast basketball bettors do not get to see the Western Conference playoffs games due to them starting up to three hours later.

The matchup that has caught the eye of many NBA bettors is the Los Angeles Clippers versus the Portland Trail Blazers. The Clippers lead the best of seven series 1-0 after winning Game 1  by the score of 115-95.

The Clippers covered in the game as 8.5-point chalk while the point total CASHED under the 210.5 line by just a half point.

In Game 2 on Wednesday, the Clippers have been installed as 8.5-point favorites again, while the over/under is now at 209.5.

Portland did little right in Game 1. The Trail Blazers shot poorly from the floor. The loss however was not a big surprise as Portland won only 16 of its 42 games on the road during the regular season for a .380 percentage on the road.

The three top players for the Clippers did pretty much what they wanted in Game 1. Chris Paul scored 28 points while dishing out 11 assists.

Paul took control of Game 1 from the start and was able to get easy buckets for teammates. J.J. Redick hit 8 of his 12 field goals on the night, while center DeAndre Jordan made 5 of his 7 on the night.

Blake Griffin the Los Angeles All-Star power forward is rounding back into playing form as he scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Los Angeles is 30-12 at home this season.

The point total has cashed UNDER in 9 of the past 10 games Los Angeles has played at home.

The Clippers have gone 2-4-1 against the spread over their past 7 games at home versus the Trail Blazers.

The Clippers have a much more talented team than do the Trail Blazers, but winning by 8.5 points to cover could be a difficult proposition for the Clippers for the second straight game over the Trail Blazers.
