More Sports Betting Sites Leave Australia

Scott Morris | August 23, 2017

As we reported earlier this year, sportsbooks and casinos have been shutting down their operations in Australia because the Aussie government has imposed laws and regulations that make it impossible for these companies to operate.

Basically the Interactive Amendment Gambling Bill 2016 tightens the noose, so to speak, and only allows a certain small group to remain profitable in Australia. The rest of the companies would be drowning in taxes, fees and tariffs.

Reasoning
Were there a huge amount of people living in the streets, cluttering up the roadways because they lost it all on online gambling? Negative. It’s a money grab just like most financial laws are. Taking your money and limiting your rights is something that government often disguise as “for your protection”.

Company List

Cabaret Club
