Betting Odds for the NFL Season

Super Bowl and NFL Odds

The 100th NFL season will kick off on September 5 with the game between Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears – the league’s longest-running rivalry.

With the new season being just days away, online bookmakers have prepared the odds for this year’s NFL edition. We’ve already covered some NFL regular season betting props, but now is the time for us to see which teams are considered the favorites to win the 2020 Super Bowl.

To Win Outright

Looking at the odds from some of the most renowned online bookmakers, we can say that the next NFL season is going to be a fairly unpredictable one.

For now, the New England Patriots have the highest chances of winning the Vince Lombardi trophy with the odds of +700. However, they are far from being the clear favorites this year, since the Los Angeles Rams are close behind with the odds of +900.

Bookies put the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints right behind these two with equal odds of +900. These four teams are neck and neck according to sportsbooks, and we will see which two will end up at the Super Bowl in February of 2020.

Four different teams have the odds of +1500 – the Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans are next in line with the odds of +1900. The absolute underdogs to win are the Buffalo Bills (101), Cincinnati Bengals (126), and Miami Dolphins (126).

Of course, these odds vary from one bookie site to another, and they might change slightly before the season officially begins.

To Win Conference

The defending champions New England Patriots are the favorites to win the whole thing, and they are also the favorites to finish at the top of their conference, with the odds of +400. Close behind are the Kansas City Chiefs (+450), Los Angeles Chargers (+800), and Cleveland Browns (+800).

As far as the NFC Championship goes, bookies see the LA Rams (+450) and New Orleans Saints (+500) as the top favorites, followed by the Chicago Bears (+850) and Philadelphia Eagles (+900).

MVP Award

The race for the most valuable player in the NFL this season is also going to be a competitive one.

The Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won the award five times – more than any other player in the history of the game. He also won last year, and he’s the favorite to do it again. The bookies give him the odds of +500.

Next in line are Drew Brees from the Saints (+800), Aaron Rogers from the Packers (+900), and the indestructible Tom Brady (+1100) who will be playing his 20th season and looking to win his fourth MVP trophy.

Other Markets

As far as the upcoming NFL season goes, you can also bet on which team is going to win their division, the conference number one seed, the number of regular season wins, the number of regular season points scored, and a bunch of other things.
