Week 5 College Football Picks to Click

As you may know by now SBA never charges for information. That goes for the sports picks that we like here at the office. We have put together these three picks for this weekend. Play them if you like, make fun of us after if they lose. Its all the same to us.
Navy at Memphis (-11)
Thursday night football features the Naval Academy from Annapolis against Memphis.
Memphis is 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. They haven’t really played anyone all that good. They did beat Mississippi 15-10 but like I said, they haven’t played anyone.
Navy is 2-0 and 2-0 against the spread. The best team they played was East Carolina, who isn’t any good either. For us this game comes down to the size of the spread. The 11 point spread seems a little high for a team that hasn’t played anyone against an undefeated team (who also hasn’t played anyone). Take the Midshipmen of Navy +11
BYU (-2.5) at Toledo
The Cougars of BYU are -2.5 at Toledo. BYU is 2-2 after a schedule where they have played some pretty solid football teams. They beat #21 USC and Tennessee but lost to #17 Washington and #19 Utah. This is a team that has talent and heart but doesn’t always show up for one reason or another.
The Rockets of Toldeo are 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS. They beat a fledgling Colorado State team 41-35 and they beat Murray State. They lost by two TD’s at Kentucky.
We like BYU minus the points. If BYU cannot win this game they should seriously consider removing Kalani Sitake form his head coaching position.
Arizona State at Cal (-4.5)
Arizona State was 3-0 and riding high after beating Michigan State. Head Coach Herm Edwards was the savior in the desert. But then ASU lost at home to Colorado last weekend and the balloon popped.
Cal is undefeated. They are 4-0 SU and 2-2 ATS. They are currently ranked #15 in the land. Their only real win is a good one. They beat Washington at Washington 20-19. Very impressive. Not so impressive was when they beat North Texas in Berkeley by only six points a few weeks ago.
We have Arizona State, who plays well on the road, vs Cal, who plays lax at home. We like Herm Edwards and ASU +4.5 here. “Hello, You play to win the game.”
