What Makes James Harden So Good?

James Edward Harden Jr. or James Harden is a great basketball player, because of his facial hair he is also known as “The Beard”. He was born to a basketball family in Los Angeles, and he was the star player in his school’s basketball team. Standing at 6’5, Harden plays as a shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers. James has won many awards for the performances he has given throughout his career. He was also a great player in his college days and played for two seasons for Arizona State Sun Devils and won Pacific-10 Conference’s Player of the Year. After that, he declared for the NBA draft in 2009.
The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted him as the third overall pick in the NBA draft, although he did not play much in his first season. In the second season, he became the main Shooting Guard for the Thunder. After three seasons with the Thunder, he left for the Houston Rockets in 2012 during the free agency period. The Thunder reached the NBA finals that season but lost to the Miami Heat who had Prime Lebron James playing for them, arguably the greatest of all time. He stayed with the Rockets for nine seasons and won numerous awards, but he still could not win the NBA championship. In Houston is where he thrived as he became one of the best shooters and shooting guards of the game and his scoring can be compared to Michael Jordan.
He won scoring titles on three occasions with the Rockets and won the MVP title in 2018 and finished in the top three four times. After nine successful (although title-less) seasons with the Rockets, he was traded to Brooklyn Nets where he stayed for only two seasons and became the first player ever in the franchise history to post a thirty-point triple-double performance on the debut. James also made his tenth straight all-star game with the Nets. After two years he joined the Philadelphia 76ers, where he still plays and is still looking to win his first-ever NBA title.
James Harden has won everything there is to win in basketball except the title itself and winning the title would cement his place in the basketball books. His style of play is really attractive, and his shooting ability makes him one of the best in the business at his position. He is one of the best offensive players in NBA history and can drill three-pointers for fun.
At the age of thirty-three years old, he still has some good seasons left in him and possibly can win him the title that has eluded him forever. He deserves the praise that he gets as his ability to score and involve his teammates is second to none. Maybe the 2023 NBA title can be won by the 76ers and James Harden can finally lift the title that he hopes for.
