Vikings vs Saints Free Game Preview and Pick

Scott Morris | November 10, 2023
Taysom Hill QB

The New Orleans Saints will be going up against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 12 for some Week 10 action. Both teams are currently neck and neck at 5-4 in the season and it will be quite interesting to see who is capable of winning this face off and coming out on top.

The Saints have won back to back games, most recent one being the 24-17 victory over the Chicago Bears. They proudly stand at first place in the NFC South and don’t plan on moving back down anytime soon.

For the Vikings, they continue to be one of the hottest teams in the NFL, having won four straight games including the 31-28 win against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. They stand at second place in the NFC North and only aim to go up from here.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints made their comeback, now leading their division, with consecutive wins and are back in to become a potential contender for the playoffs. Scoring 21.7 points per game and allowing just 19, they’re doing pretty good.

In the Week 9 game, the Saints offense was struggling to move the ball consistently when quarterback Taysom Hill showed the world exactly why he is one of the best of his kind, carrying the team towards victory. Not only did he throw a touchdown pass but also had 11 carries for 52 yards and hauled in 4 receptions for 13 yards. To top it off, he added a touchdown to the list as well.

The others were pretty good on the field as well. Cornerback Paulson Adebo recovered a fumble and had two interceptions as well. Safety Marcus Maye wasn’t far behind either, also managing an interception. Even veterans Demario Davis and Cam Jordan notched a sack each. Their rookie running back Kendre Miller got the biggest play of the game, a 31-yard reception down the left sideline.

The Saints have been doing well up till now and fully plan on winning the Week 10 game before entering their bye week.

Minnesota Vikings

Josh Dobbs VikingsThe Vikings have had quite the rollercoaster ride so far in the 2023 NFL season. From starting off horribly to winning back to back games, they’ve seen it all.

In Sunday’s game the team was looking pretty solid when rookie quarterback Jaren Hall hit his head on the turf during an attempt to score a rushing touchdown. He exited the field and was replaced by Joshua Dobbs. The player struggled quite a lot at first but gave it his all and finished with 66 rushing yards and 158 passing yards with two scores. Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. also did a lot better this week than before. He allowed just two catches for 23 yards and also recorded an interception.

The Vikings are a very capable team and have all the potential to win only if their injury ridden roster doesn’t become more of an issue along the way.

What may go down in Week 10?

Both the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings are equally good and skilled but the numerous injuries on the Vikings’ side have us siding with the Saints for the upcoming game in Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. The game would be New Orleans -3.5 on a neutral field which means the game should essentially be a pick em’ at Minnesota. But the oddsmakers have New Orleans as three point favorites on the road. By default, the makes Minnesota our free pick. As usual, buy the half point off the key number to make Minnesota +3.5 at home. You can wager this pick at BetOnline.ag and get a 50% bonus today.
