Next A&M Coach and Next Coach Fired Odds

Scott Morris | November 13, 2023
Lane Kiffin head football coach

It only seems fitting that after we publish an article about what a disaster the Jimbo Fisher tenure has been at Texas A&M that we publish odds on the next big hire for that school. While we are at it, we should also include betting odds on the coach from a large program to be fired.

The coaching situation is a mess at Texas A&M. They owe Jimbo Fisher a ton of money and all it is guaranteed. Will this affect their purchasing power for the next coach? Well, their pockets seem pretty deep for a “football school” that has not won a national championship (nor played in one) in recent decades. In fact they haven’t won a title since 1939.

Texas A&M actually has the second most donated money in the nation since 2005 ($877M) behind only Oregon ($969M). In-state rival and actual relatively recent and multiple championship winner Texas is #3 with $766M.
