Falcons vs Bucs Free Pick

December 8, 2023
Atlanta vs Tampa free picks December 2023

Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season features quite an exciting confrontation as the Atlanta Falcons, holding a 6-6 record, clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are at 5-7. This encounter will be quite the game; a battle of resilience between two teams of the NFC South that are remarkably even  in terms of their season performance.

The Falcons, with their unique playstyle, are looking to take advantage of their recent wins and momentum.

Conversely, the Buccaneers, despite a slightly less favorable record, bring a great mix of experience and adaptability to the field.

We currently have the Falcons -2 at SBA Odds and the total resting at 40.5 points.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have being doing quite well in their division and are standing at the very top of the table. They moved even closer to the NFC South title with a hard-fought 13-8 win against the New York Jets in Week 13.

In the game, at the Jets’ home field, the Falcons initially faced a challenge; conceding a safety after being cornered near their end zone. They made quite the comeback in the second quarter, gaining a 7-2 lead with quarterback Desmond Ridder’s 20-yard touchdown pass to tight end MyCole Pruitt. The Jets narrowed the gap to 10-8 with placekicker Greg Zuerlein’s 46-yard field goal in the third quarter, but Younghoe Koo’s subsequent field goal extended the Falcons’ lead by five points.

Defensively, the Falcons were quite impressive. Linebacker Bud Dupree, particularly, stood out with two sacks and a forced fumble. The Falcons’ defense was very effective when it came to pushing the Jets’ offense back, thanks to Lorenzo Carter, Nate Landman and Kentavius Street, who all recorded tackles for loss. The Jets did manage to contain Falcons’ running back Bijan Robinson to an average of just 2.9 yards on 18 carries. Although tackled in the end zone for a safety, Robinson still contributed 26 yards through three receptions.

The Falcons have just the right momentum to get another win on their record and further strengthen their position at the top of the table.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers aren’t so far behind either. Their recent 21-18 win over the Carolina Panthers highlighted the importance of their veteran players.

Wide receiver Mike Evans had a standout game with a 75-yard touchdown reception and a total of 162 receiving yards, marking his 10th straight season of achieving over 1,000 receiving yards. Wide receiver Chris Godwin also played a very crucial role with a decisive 19-yard touchdown run. Running back Rachaad White also made a significant impact, rushing 84 yards and scoring a touchdown from 20 carries.

On the defensive front, Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. continued his impressive season, registering his third sack, a crucial interception in the game’s final quarter, three pass deflections, and leading the team with eight tackles.

The Buccaneers will try their best to build on their strengths because they very much need to win this upcoming game.

Prediction for Week 14

As both teams prepare for this matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ skilled roster and recent momentum might give them an edge over the Atlanta Falcons. However, Atlanta’s running game and the emergence of Bijan Robinson as a key player cannot be overlooked. This game most definitely promises to be a very tightly contested affair that all fans are eager to witness. The Falcons were able to defeat the Bucs in Tampa despite three fumbles in the Red Zone back in October.

77% of the money is coming in on ATL at home. But, we have tracked some sharp money on Tampa and are taking the Bucs +2 at BetUS.com to cover the spread and potentially win outright.
