Transfer Portal Odds – Where are They Going?

The transfer portal has developed into a way that players can not only play elsewhere if they feel like they are getting a raw deal, but also a way to cash in on a big pay check. Recently, Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule said the quiet part out loud. He basically said that for any school to get a blue chip transfer it will cost them as much as $2M. There has been some argument as to whether he was voicing his frustration, announcing that he was looking for a QB, or announcing to boosters that he needed an infusing of cash. It looks like the latter two options are most likely.
Ohio State QB Kyle McCord is in the transfer portal and is odds-on favorites to land in Lincoln. It looks like he is going after that $2M purse. Can you blame him? Since NIL has been the norm for college football athletes they all have been looking at every and any way they can cash in.
