Summary of NFL Games
Saturday
Ravens 34 vs Texans 10
The game was tied at half time 10-10 but the second half saw the Ravens turn on the jets and never look back. Lamar Jackson was able to move the ball easily down the field and Houston was simple outmatched. The Ravens defense was brilliant allowing only 3 points by Houston’s high octane offense. The lone TD for Houston came from a 67 yard punt return.
49ers 24 vs Packers 21
The Packers truly gave it all they had and were in position to win this game until the very end where San Fran was able to score the go-ahead and game winning TD. The driving rain seemed to really hinder the Niners’ ability to establish a rhythm while Green Bay seemed less affected by it for some reason. The Niners’ vaunted defense seemed to struggle at times covering receivers and stopping the Packers’ running backs in the flats. They will need to play better next week if they want to punch their ticket to the big game.
Sunday
Lions 31 vs Buccaneers 23
The Lions had too much firepower for the Bucs defense. Baker Mayfield slung the rock up and down the field for 349 yards and 3 TD’s. Unfortunately for Tampa fans he also threw two picks, one when it mattered most. The Bucs final drive to try and tie the game, Mayfield threw an INT to seal the victory for the Lions.
Chiefs 27 vs Bills 24
The Chiefs hung on to win despite trying a few times to give the game away. Their defense tightened the reigns after being easy to push around through three quarters. They stiffened when it counted most and a missed FG by Buffalo sealed the Bills fate.
