Drake Maye Total TD Over Under Prop Odds
Former UNC Tarheel QB Drake Maye has a lot of upside potential. The Patriots rolled the dice on this guy in the 1st round of last year’s draft despite him having a very limited college career. And despite having just a 3-9 record as a starter last season, the Patriots are high on this kid. Maye threw for 2,276 yards with 15 TD’s and 10 INT’s in 12 starts last season. He ended up making it into the Pro Bowl when other QB’s bowed out.
This season will tell Patriots fans and management all they need to know about Maye. If he is able to keep his composure, win some games and throw for more TD’s than INT’s, it will be considered a successful year.
The Patriots have had a pretty good track record drafting quarterbacks. Drew Bledsoe was a great pickup for the team in the 90’s and we all know about Tom Brady in the 2000’s. Drafting Mac Jones from Alabama was a misstep, however. Patriots’ management is hoping that Maye isn’t Mac Jone 2.0. Don’t forget, Mac Jones also had a strong rookie campaign with New England, throwing for 22 TD’s – 13 INT’s and being selected as a Pro Bowl alternate. The parallels to Maye are obvious.
Based on last year’s stats, and assuming Drake Maye gets all 17 starts in 2025, he will end up with about 22 TD’s in 2025. But there is always a chance he will miss games due to injury, or he could simply have a bad statistical year. This is why his total TD Over Under at BetUS.com is just 19.5 TD’s.
Do you feel confident in Drake Maye’s ability to progress in 2025? Or is he going to be Mac Jones all over again?
