3 Reasons Why the Buffalo Bills Will Win Super Bowl LX

There’s no fan as long-suffering as a fan of the Buffalo Bills, at least in the National Football League. Buffalo has its turns among the truly elite teams in the NFL, but it has a bare cupboard when it comes to championships.
Fans of certain ages aren’t forgetting the Bills’ dominance in the dearly departed American Football League, with back-to-back titles in 1964 and ‘65. Buffalo lost the 1966 title game at home to the Kansas City Chiefs, thus blowing a chance to represent the renegade league in the first Super Bowl.
Then, after the merger, there was some success led by O.J. Simpson (he did play football), though never contending. The Jim Kelly-Bruce Smith teams tore through the American Football Conference in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The ignominy of having lost four title games in succession (Super Bowls XV through XVIII) has scarred western New York to this day, as has the more recent string of failed efforts.
Buffalo lost in the wild card rounds (2019), divisional round (2021 to 2023), and conference championship (2020 and 2024), with KC the nemesis in those games.
All of which brings this story to the present. As of this writing, after Week 1 of the 2025 season,
Buffalo and the Baltimore Ravens are 13-2 (+650) co-favorites in NFL Super Bowl championship odds. It’s the defending-champion Philadelphia Eagles next at 7-1 (+700), with the Green Bay Packers at 9-1 (+900).
It’s a bit ironic that NFL news was replete with that Bills-Ravens opening-week game, as the Bills unleashed a huge, late-game home comeback to win, 41-40, on the final play.
There’s nothing quite as amusing as the overreaction after the first week of NFL scores in a season, which, as we know, is a marathon and not a sprint.
Thus, the NFL schedule figures to offer more realism in the next few weeks. Buffalo is hitting the road on the second Sunday, about a touchdown favorite at the Meadowlands against the 0-1 New York Jets. Buffalo has won its last three (four-of-five) against Gang Green.
There are three consecutive home games after that, including a Thursday evening encounter against the Miami Dolphins and a Sunday evening tilt with the New England Patriots.
Those games are sandwiched between a regular Sunday afternoon hosting of the New Orleans Saints.
There is much hype with the Bills, and it’s mainly because of their quarterback.
Josh Allen is now in his eighth season as the face of the franchise. He’s done a lot individually (reigning MVP winner, thrice a Pro Bowler), 197 passing touchdowns and 67 ground scores, but hasn’t delivered a title. Despite that, there are a few teams that wouldn’t want those Josh Allen stats running their offense.
Add a reliable rusher in James Cook, with two 1,000-yard seasons (76 receptions) entering 2025. There’s also a defense that’s improved (at least theoretically), though surrendering 432 yards in that first game against the Ravens wasn’t pretty.
Those are the three of the biggest reasons Buffalo is a popular choice to finally close the sale.
We’ve been down this before, of course…
How Many Super Bowls Has Josh Allen Won?
There’s a well-documented monkey on Josh Allen’s back, Hell, there’s a monkey on the back of the entire Bills Mafia. Atop the odds board each season as far as NFL Super Bowl championship odds are concerned, they’ve never won.
Super Bowl LX is at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Allen is tasked with getting his team there. Anything less is a lost season.
Does BetUS Offer Constant Updates on Super Bowl LX Betting Odds?
Indeed it does, since nothing drives the gambling bus in nearly the way it’s driven by the NFL. BetUS is offering a plethora of NFL betting odds (point spreads and props) through the 17-game regular season and conference playoffs. It concludes with Super Bowl LX betting lines.
As was mentioned, it’s the Buffalo Bills co-favored favored at 13-2 (+650) with the Baltimore Ravens to win the title at this early-September writing.
Remember the board is fluid, so the best advice is always to do your homework to try and strike when the ‘odds iron’ is hot. It’s not uncommon to have the Bills favored pretty much each week in NFL betting odds.
Any Final Thoughts?
NFL news and NFL rumors are never-ending entities if you’re a bettor or fan, with the Buffalo Bills a favorite subject throughout the season.
