Next Head Coach Fired Odds for NFL and College Football

The Florida Gators pulled the trigger on Billy Napier recently. They had seen enough. The head coach usually takes the credit and the blame when the team is doing great or when they are playing badly. He is essentially the “CEO” on the football field. Sports jobs at these high levels pays very well, so it is no surprise that their jobs are on the chopping block when things go badly.
In the NFL, Mike McDaniel is treading water is on borrowed time. He has been and is currently the overall favorite to get a pink slip. McDaniel started the season as the overall favorite to be fired but was beat out by the firing of Brian Callahan in Tennessee. If you wagered on Callahan as the first NFL coach fired this year, you received a hefty 10-1 payout (+1000).
Mike McDaniel’s Dolphins look like the 2nd worse team in the NFL. They are only better than the Jets, whom they defeated earlier in the season. The only reason Jets HC Aaron Glenn isn’t listed higher than McDaniel is because he is in his first season in an obvious rebuilding year. Mike McDaniel is +200 to be the next head coach fired. Aaron Glenn is +500 moneyline odds.

His Badgers are 3-4 and just got crushed by Ohio State 34-0. They also lost last week at home 37-0 to Iowa. It’s as bad as it has been in a long time for Wisconsin fans.
FSU coach Mike Norvell is +200 at sportsbooks to be the next coach fired. His Seminoles looked promising early but have since found ways to lose games. Saturday night’s loss at Stanford is the lowest point of the season.
