2026 Chicago Cubs Season Odds – Total Wins – World Series

The Cubs are hoping to pick up where they left off last season before being swept by the Brewers in the post season. Making it to the second round of the playoffs was a bit of a surprise for many MLB “experts”. The Cubs started 2025 as +3000 odds to win the World Series which was tied for 14th overall on the odd sheet. By all accounts they were expected to have a mediocre season.

After blasting off to an MLB best record start and driving their WS odds all the way down to +1200, the Cubs fell into a bit of a lull in the second half. Still, they finished well enough to make it into the playoffs and win the Wild Card round. Can they be even better this season?

The Cubs made some off-season moves which seem have improved the team on paper. Picking up 3rd baseman Alex Bregman was perhaps their biggest one. Bregman is a 3-time all-star, batted .270 last season and knocked out 18 HR’s. They also traded for Edward Cabrera to shore up an already stacked lineup of pitchers.

The Cubs lost gave up on Kyle Tucker, as he underperformed and was not worth the investment.
