Odds for Fewest Regular Season Wins 2026 NFL Released
Baseball season is just a few weeks old, and the NBA playoffs have begun. Though this is an exciting time of year for millions of sports fans, most would love to flash forward to September and regular season football. After all, football is the most popular sport in America and sportsbook action also peaks during those months.
It’s never too early to look ahead at the NFL season. It’s true that the NFL draft is just a week away, but truth be told, what happens in the draft won’t change teams’ fortunes all that much. Rarely does a rookie come in and have a significant impact as far as winning games is concerned. The odds listed in this article simply will not change that much as the NFL season gets nearer.
The Worst of the Worst
The odd-on favorite to have the most regular season losses is the Arizona Cardinals at +275. The team released the QB they were planning on building their future around (Kyler Murray). It just wasn’t working out for him there. Him playing another snap for Arizona simply wasn’t in the cards (forgive me for that one).
The Cards are expected to start journeyman and longtime veteran Jacoby Brissett. He hasn’t really had a great career so you can see why analysts are down on the Cardinals.
The Miami Dolphins are right behind the Cardinals on the odds list for fewest wins in the 2026 NFL season. They are +350 odds. This team is suffering from the repeated horrendous decisions it has made for the last decade. They seem to always choose wrong when given a binary choice: Tom Brady or Ryan Fitzpatrick. Drew Brees or Dante Culpepper. They simply can’t stay out of their own way.
After dumping hundreds of millions of dollars into free agent contracts in the 2020’s and seeing very little in return, the Dolphins have yet again cleaned house and are starting a fresh rebuild. They cut several veterans who they still owe a ton of money too. As of April 2026, the Miami Dolphins hold the all-time NFL record for dead cap money in a single season, carrying approximately $179.2 million in dead cap space, driven by a record $99.2 million charge from Tua Tagovailoa.
The Fins have brought in career backup QB Malik Willis from Green Bay. They are hoping he is able to bring some dynamic ability to a team which is short on talent and excitement. We shall see.
