NFC West: Conference and Super Bowl Futures

July 21, 2016

The next Super Bowl might seem like its months away and you would be right, but that does not mean sportsbooks and bettors are not busy checking out the numbers.

The NFL preseason opens on August 7 which is just three weeks away making it a great time for sports bettors to look at the odds for Super Bowl LI.

The NFC West will have two very strong teams, one good team and one poor team this season.

Leading the division in Super Odds are the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are 9 to 1 to win the Super Bowl. Seattle is 4 to 1 to win the NFC and has a win total for the season of 10.5 games. Seattle’s defense will once again be the catalyst on the team.

The Arizona Cardinals are 13 to 1 to win the Super Bowl. Arizona is 6 to 1 to win the NFC and has a win total for the season of 9.5 games with the over for that at -180 and +150 on the under. The Cardinals defense will be its foundation, but the offense will more than handle its own.

The odds increase dramatically for the next two teams. The Los Angeles Rams are 93 to 1 to win the Super Bowl and 33 to 1 to win the NFC. The Rams win total is set at 7.5 games.

San Francisco is the long shot in the NFC West to win the Super Bowl with odds of 118 to 1. The 49ers are also 45 to 1 to win the NFC. San Francisco has a win total for the season of just 5.5 games.

The season of course is 17 weeks long and injuries can take their toll and change the odds dramatically on the futures boards.

However, it is a great time to sit down and review each of the teams and their schedules to see which one has the best overall chance and value to win Super Bowl LI.
