Tom Brady and the Patriots On Top as Bye Week Arrives

September 29, 2015

The Deflategate saga and its overturned suspension all seem a distant memory. Tom Brady has come flying out of the gate starting the season leading his New England Patriots to a 3-0 start.

The Patriots have been unstoppable starting the season as it seems Brady and his teammates are pleased to rub it into the noses of the NFL as they are dominating everyone in their path.

First, the Patriots dominated the Ben Roethlisberger led Pittsburgh Steelers, then tore up the retooled Buffalo Bills defense and dissected the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in a game that really put a spotlight on the teams that have and those that have not.

It appears Bill Belichick could care less about being Mr. Nice Guy. He figures the game is on until the final whistle and his team will beat its opponent into the ground until the fourth quarter ends.

The Patriots have won and covered each of their three games and will now head to their bye week. Following their bye week, the Patriots will play Week 5 in Texas against the Dallas Cowboys.

In Week 2, Brady threw for 466 yards and 3 touchdowns. Roethlisberger had 369 yards and 3 touchdowns. Brady did not win AFC Player of the Week, is the NFL trying to stick it to Brady? That is just another reason for him to go out and embarrass his next opponent. Look out Dallas.

The updated Super Bowl futures still have Green Bay on top at +350, but New England is a very close second at +400.

In the AFC East, the Patriots are -500 to win and are the favorite at this point to take the AFC Championship at +175.

The Patriots have looked unstoppable and barring any unforeseen injuries, New England should dominate the rest of the regular season. Of course, there will be an upset or two, but when the regular season ends, New England will be perched atop the AFC East just where it is now.
