How the Odds were affected
by Bovada
Last night the longest trade rumor was set to rest as Dwight Howard was finally moved to the Los Angeles Lakers. This 4
team deal had significant impact on the NBA futures as the 4 teams acquired new players. The big winners in terms of futures were the Los Angeles Lakers as their odds moved form 10/1 to 3/1 and second favorites after the Heat. The Other winner form this trade is the Philadelphia 76ers, whose odds went from 40/1 to 25/1. The team least affected by the trade was the Denver Nuggets whose odds only moved from 30/1 to 35/1. As is always the case when it comes to a blockbuster trade, one team is considered the loser when it comes to futures betting, and that team is the Orlando Magic. Their odds went from 25/1 to 40/1 as they look to rebuild through the draft.
