Betting Action for NFL Week 6

October 15, 2016

Week 6 in the NFL has seen money movement since the opening lines were released. A few games have captured the attention of bettors leading up to the full schedule of games on Sunday.

Both sharp and public action has been attracted to the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders game in a meaningful battle of two bitter AFC West rivals.

This week the majority of sharp action has been on Kansas City. On most sportsbooks, the line opened Raiders -2, but has since gone to Kansas City -1.

A few books have the number as high as Kansas City -2.5. One online sportsbook reports that over 60% of its handle on the game is on the Chiefs.

Overall, this rivalry has Kansas City leading all time 60-52-2 and the Chiefs are 10-3 against the number in the past 13 games they have played at Oakland.

The visiting team in his rivalry is 20-6 against the number over the past 26 games.

Two other games have seen a large amount of action. The New York Jets at +8 play visit the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. The other is Dallas +4. Dallas travels to famed Lambeau Field to play a late Sunday afternoon game against Green Bay.

Arizona has only covered twice since the final week of play last season and that was against poor teams in Tampa Bay and San Francisco.

The Cardinals should have Carson Palmer back under center after he missed the 49ers game with a concussion. New York has not lost since 1975 to the Cardinals.

Bad weather has hit the Seattle area but the spread in the Seahawks game against the red-hot Atlanta Falcons has not moved much.

The Falcons have seen strong sharp action at +6.5. The weather has caused many sportsbooks to leave the line and the point total where they are at Falcons +6.5 and 45.5.

The most popular parlay action for the public this week has the Patriots -9 against Cincinnati, Steelers -7.5 at Miami, Giants -3 hosting Baltimore and the Bills -9 hosting San Francisco.

The teams with the most tickets thus far in Week 6 are New England and Pittsburgh.

The most popular total plays are Jacksonville vs. Chicago at UNDER 47 and Indianapolis vs. Houston at OVER 47.5.
