Consider These NFL Betting Angles and Trends for Week 6

Scott Morris | October 14, 2017
Dolphins offense could see a spark on the road at Atlanta

The Miami Dolphins are struggling on offense. Under un-retired quarterback Jay Cutler, the Dolphins offense is last in several offensive categories such as points per play and yards per play.

The offense for the Dolphins has yet to score 20 or more points in any of its four games to start the season.

Scheduling circumstances out of their hands has not helped the Dolphins. They have traveled more than 15,000 miles and played in four different cities, including across the pond in London. However, against Atlanta on Sunday the offense could find some spark.

The OVER has cashed in 11 of the past 12 home games for Atlanta with an average score of 60 points. Opponents have been scoring an average of 25.8 points, with all but one of the visiting teams scoring 24 points or more during that span.

Kansas City enters this week’s NFL games as the only remaining undefeated team at 5-0. Past trends show that Kansas City could have trouble this week against Pittsburgh.

Dating back 28 years, 26 teams have been undefeated entering Week 6. Those 26 teams in Week 6 are 16-10 straight up and 10-16 against the spread.

The Chiefs will host the Steelers Sunday afternoon as 4.5-point chalk. When 5.5-point chalk or less, undefeated teams are 7-9 SU while 6-10 ATS dating back to 2000.

The Steelers might not be a the top of their game and coming off an embarrassing loss to Jacksonville, but with the skill players Pittsburgh has on offense, they could just end up outscoring the Chiefs in a point fest.

Teams that enter Week 6 winless for the season have played well against the number going 36-23-2 ATS since 1990. Three teams on Sunday fit that bill – Browns, Giants and 49ers.

Road dogs getting 6 points or more are 15-5-2 ATS the past 10 NFL seasons. Each of the three winless teams mentioned earlier will be getting double digits on Sunday.

The Giants are getting as many as 12 points on some sportsbooks against Denver, while both the Browns and 49ers are getting 10 points as of Saturday morning, against Houston and Washington respectively.
