The NCAA football championship game will be held on Monday January 11, 2021 in Miami Gardens, Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium. It will start at 8pm (ish) EST and can be viewed on FOX.
The Alabama Crimson Tide were the first to punch their ticket to the big game by easily defeating Notre Dame 31-14. And it wasn’t as close as that score makes it look. Bama dominated the entire game.
Ohio State was also able to dispatch of Clemson in very convincing fashion. QB Justin Fields was hit hard in the first half injuring his ribs. He was able to remain in and finish the game and even passed for a record 6 TD’s and in doing so Ohio State easily covered the +7 point spread and won straight up cashing the +218 moneyline at sportsbooks.
The big question for the championship game will be QB Justin Fields’ health. Even though the game will be played in ten days from now, lingering pain can affect his ability to practice in the meantime.
Alabama holds a 3-1 lead in the head to head matchup with Ohio State. But Ohio State won their last most recent meeting back in 2015 by a score of 42-35. For more on those matchups click here
