NBA & NHL Finals Series Odds Updates and Angles

It has been an exciting set of series for both the NBA and NHL in the month of June. Both series have proven to be very competitive despite expectations from many talking heads.
Despite being able to steal a game on the road, the Indiana Pacers are still heavy underdogs. In fact, despite that massive advantage, winning game 1 on the road, the Pacers’ odds are just about as long as when they first started. Yes, the OKC Thunder proved themselves in game 2 by putting a solid beatdown on Indiana and tying the series 1-1, but the odds don’t reflect any significant change in their direction.
The Pacers were +434 at the start of the series at SportsBetting.ag and now they are +406. OKC went from -580 to -535. These are really negligible numbers when you think about it.
If you liked what you saw in game one and think the Pacers can string together a few more upsets, then betting the Pacers at 4/1 may be your best bet here.
Stanley Cup Series
This series was predicted to be a tight one. The Oilers of Edmonton were slight favorites at the start of this series because they held the one game home arena advantage. With Florida able to steal game one on the road, the odds have shifted back. The Panthers of Florida are now slight favorites at BetOnline.ag:

This is a tough one to predict the outcome for but if I had to throw down money at this very moment on the series I would probably go ahead and take the defending champion Florida Panthers. However, one of my colleagues disagrees with me writing:
I predict the Edmonton Oilers will win the 2025 Stanley Cup series. Their motivation from last year’s Game 7 loss, combined with a deeper roster and improved defensive play, gives them an edge. Connor McDavid’s leadership and Stuart Skinner’s rebound performance in goal could be decisive factors against the Florida Panthers.
