Week 1 and we already saw some shakeups. The biggest of course was Alabama. The Crimson Tide were two full TD favorites over Florida State. The Seminoles dominated Alabama the entire game and won 31-17. FSU is better than anticipated and it’s also possible that Alabama is not as good as everyone thought. As a result, Alabama’s odds doubled from +900 to +1800 to win the national championship. FSU’s odds on shortened from +8000 to +6600.

Notre Dame was a field goal favorite at Miami and got owned for most of the game. They were able to make a run at the end to make it interesting but still ended up losing 27-24. The Irish’s odds went from +1000 to +1800 while Miami’s odds shortened from +2800 to +1200.
