Early Pre-Draft NFL 2023-24 Predictions

Scott Morris | April 18, 2023
NFL championship preview for 2023-24 season

The NFL 2022-2023 season ended in February when Kansas City Chiefs emerged as the champions when they defeated Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. With the draft coming up, every team will consider strengthening their squad to the max. Next season starting in September, who are the pre-season favorites to win the 2023-24 title?

The defending champions are almost always the number-one favorites to win the next title. Kansas City Chiefs have a young team, and now when combined with a title-winning team, many will indeed predict that they will repeat the championship-winning feat. With them winning the 2024 title, it will be their third title in five years,, cementing them as a league dynasty. Patrick Holmes, the Chief’s star quarterback, will be looking to lead them to glory again, and he can certainly do so if he performs consistently.

The NFC East title champions, Philadelphia Eagles, after coming up short to the Chiefs, will be determined to go one step further this time. Jalen Hurts, who had a great last season, will be looking to win the MVP award this time, guiding his team to the first super bowl title since 2017. Overall, the Eagles are a strong contender for the Super Bowl. Their fans will have great expectations from them.

The Cincinnati Bengals are heavy favorites to win it all in 2024, many thanks to their quarterback Joe Burrow. They have a great core who are entering their prime, and they will have eyes on the 2024 Super Bowl and win their first title. If they can have a good draft and add some support for Burrow, they indeed can aim high and clinch the title. Their fans have confidence and belief in the players and will not settle for less than that Super Bowl title that has eluded them forever.

The Buffalo Bills have become an inspiring team to watch because of the likes of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. They went 13-3 in the regular season and had the second-best offense and defense in the whole league, but they failed to deliver on the big stage when they got knocked out by Cincinnati Bengals in the divisional round. They need to become a champion team from just an exciting team to win the 2024 Super Bowl, and they certainly have the guns to do that.

We are looking at an exciting season ahead, and as the draft is coming up, the fans are looking forward to who their team recruits and how the roster will shape up in September. Will the Chiefs go back-to-back, or will another team dethrone them in February 2024?

Wildcard: Miami Dolphins
If Tua stays healthy at QB, there is no reason you won’t see the Dolphins making it deep into the playoffs. They have so many weapons now. And with the recent singing of Chosen (formerly Robbie) Anderson, each game will look more like a track meet than a football game.

It should be noted that the NFL draft is coming up which can change the picture some for many teams. However, the draft has traditionally not changed the overall championship picture that much at all.
